Client relationships
- I commit to always serve the best interest of my clients at all times and to provide the highest quality service possible.
- I commit to maintain clear and honest communications with my clients.
- I shall keep all client communications confidential.
- I will make referrals when appropriate and will not misrepresent myself or Bowenwork as a guaranteed cure for any disease, ailment, or condition in any way.
- I will refrain from giving any diagnosis or commentary on a diagnosis that a client has received from any other qualified health practitioner and will cooperate with them to the extent that this does not compromise the integrity of Bowenwork, the client or me.
- I commit to never initiate, consent to, or permit any kind of sexual advance while acting in the capacity of a Bowenwork Practitioner.
Professionalism
- I commit to maintain the highest standard of professional conduct while providing services to my clients and act in a relaxed, friendly, and professional manner with all business associates, health care providers, and the public.
- I commit to professionally represent myself, my business and the Bowenwork profession.
- I shall not abuse the privilege of access to my fellow Bowenwork students and practitioners' contact information. I shall not mail, email, phone or to further my own personal interests to my colleagues.
Scope of practice
- I will administer Bowenwork consistently with the teachings of the Bowen Academy of Australia and will represent my qualifications honestly.
- I commit to honor and respect the healing ability of the body and allow it the necessary parameters it may need to heal itself on all levels.
- I will not diagnose or prescribe unless I have received training for such.
- I will respect the wisdom and uniqueness of Bowenwork and will not provide any other hands-on modality on the same day.
- I will not use any Bowenwork procedures that may be contraindicated for my client's condition.
- I commit to continually refine my use of the Bowenwork through continuing my education as required by the Bowen Academy of Australia for my own skill and for the benefit of my clients.
- I shall make only honest claims regarding the benefits and advantages of Bowenwork.
